what does a butterfly symbolizes?
They have a very short life span but they did not fail to fascinate us with their beauty..
Butterfly Beliefs and Superstitions
By Elizabeth Yetter
Not surprisingly, the butterfly symbolizes the soul. In some cases, this means the souls of the dead. The butterfly also symbolizes metamorphosis (change) and rebirth (exiting the chrysalis).
To the Japanese, the butterfly is the emblem of womanhood because of its grace and lightness.
Fairies are often portrayed with the wings of butterflies, as well as some medieval angels.
The Greek goddess Psyche had the wings of a butterfly, her name meaning both soul and butterfly.
The Aztecs believed that the butterfly was the breath of life exhaled by a dying person.
In Europe, North America, and the Pacific it was also believed that the butterfly was the physical form of the soul.
In Ireland it was believed that if a butterfly was seen near a corpse it meant eternal happiness for the deceased.
To see a white butterfly brings good luck.
In Europe it is a warning of death to see a butterfly fluttering at night.

LeaP YEAR CUSTOMS, MYTHS AND BELIEFS
There exist a myriad of beliefs, customs and myths about lip/leap years
Some of the leap/lip year beliefs and customs include:
- Leap Year is the traditional time that women can propose marriage. This can happen on February 29th. Basically, women wear the pants in leap years.

sober
how about if we are given a one time chance to do the wrong thing, would you do it?
that one time chance could be the happiest point of your life and it could also your downfall, would you grab it?
A friend made me experience that one.. We are in a predicament that others might not comprehend..
but i grab it, thinking that i might learn from it, just like what he said.. and i learned a lot.. i learned a lot about me.. and that me is the one i am afraid of... knowing that you can't have someone you like,, what would you feel? I know that there is no such thing as permanent, they come and they go. You just have to have memories from it before it all goes away. I learned you can't always have it your way. you should learn how to give and you should learn how to let go.. For now, treasure what you have for maybe there is no tomorrow for both of you... I love this friend of mine.. he made me feel good and special in a lot of ways.. Many times he ask me why i love him.. My mind would go blank, and sometimes i would ask myself why i love him.. My mind would be blank again.. So if given a chance if we would meet and he would ask me i would say this;
I love you not for who you are, but for what you're making me feel..
and hearing Your voice makes everything so real..
you're not the only one looking at the picture, i too, have one~~
and i may not be as expressive as you, but if love can be define on my side, i would hug you..
I know that there will come a time everything will change.. may it be for better or worst but i would treasure the time and all the memories that we have... the only thing he does not know is that.. the first time i saw him, during the club days.. he got my attention, crush ? admiration? your face? i don't know... maybe because for this reason.. you will be my buddy in the future ^^ and thank u for that .. just don't make too much memories for me, because i might hold on and never let go.. and i don't want to be selfish and that is not me...
Moments
There is one point in your life that you usually don't do, suddenly you're up to it.. i usually don't pose like this and i don't know what came inside my thick skull~~ hehe.. ewwww! so girly!!!

the story behind Valentine's Day ^^
I want to hit my bed but my eyes failed to close, so Buchi and I decided to stay awake for awhile.. waiting for the people in the kitchen to scram, so that i can prepare her breakfast haay.. anyway, here is a short detail about valentine's day:
Valentine's Day started in the time of the Roman Empire. In ancient Rome, February 14th was a holiday to honour Juno. Juno was the Queen of the Roman Gods and Goddesses. The Romans also knew her as the Goddess of women and marriage. The following day, February 15th, began the Feast of Lupercalia.
The lives of young boys and girls were strictly separate. However, one of the customs of the young people was name drawing. On the eve of the festival of Lupercalia the names of Roman girls were written on slips of paper and placed into jars. Each young man would draw a girl's name from the jar and would then be partners for the duration of the festival with the girl whom he chose. Sometimes the pairing of the children lasted an entire year, and often, they would fall in love and would later marry.
Under the rule of Emperor Claudius II Rome was involved in many bloody and unpopular campaigns. Claudius the Cruel was having a difficult time getting soldiers to join his military leagues. He believed that the reason was that roman men did not want to leave their loves or families. As a result, Claudius cancelled all marriages and engagements in Rome. The good Saint Valentine was a priest at Rome in the days of Claudius II. He and Saint Marius aided the Christian martyrs and secretly married couples, and for this kind deed Saint Valentine was apprehended and dragged before the Prefect of Rome, who condemned him to be beaten to death with clubs and to have his head cut off. He suffered martyrdom on the 14th day of February, about the year 270. At that time it was the custom in Rome, a very ancient custom, indeed, to celebrate in the month of February the Lupercalia, feasts in honour of a heathen god. On these occasions, amidst a variety of pagan ceremonies, the names of young women were placed in a box, from which they were drawn by the men as chance directed.
The pastors of the early Christian Church in Rome endeavoured to do away with the pagan element in these feasts by substituting the names of saints for those of maidens. And as the Lupercalia began about the middle of February, the pastors appear to have chosen Saint Valentine's Day for the celebration of this new feaSt. So it seems that the custom of young men choosing maidens for valentines, or saints as patrons for the coming year, arose in this way.

During these times, a partner is chosen by chance and not by destiny.. the only difference from the modern times is that, we choose our own valentine.. we choose whom to love and share this day with a smile

A day to remember^^ though most of the team came from night duty and i'm one of them... we were able to show them what we've got! We beat the last season's champion in women's volleyball ^^. Proven and tested, teamwork makes it possible, plus... just enjoy the game.. no pressure.. We also got included in the badminton finals and battle of the brains.. hehe.. 2 weeks from now, we will go against 3 champion teams for the finals.. win or lose, we will try our best to prove to them that even we are small in numbers, there's a big chance for us to get the CUP^^

Roxette - a unique band, unique voices and unique lyrics
i don't know where we going
i wrap my arms around your naked shoulders
take cover for the night
i see you in the morning rain
oh step inside and lay beside me
Tender can you close my eyes and blind me
oh give just a smile
before i fade to silver, silver blue for you
i turn into a broken one, who lost the inspiration
i want to give you all my love like water ~~
to a blood red rose
the passion i can't deal with her
the pain well i can do without him
if this like a milky way, an ocean~~
that only grows and grows~~
and babe i fade to silver, silver blue for you
i turn and fade to silver, silver blue for you

serenity
Thinking about the past years when i cannot wait to grow up.. Being a carefree little girl i don't have the patience.. i want to grow up and enjoy what an adult enjoys. Independence, wilderness, maturity and beauty? ^^ hehe not really. I used t be very impatient when it comes to time. Why is it that time is so long for a kid and so short for an adult..? Time does not exist in childhood but an adult lives only by time. A kid wants a taste of adulthood, while adults envy the youngsters and their laughter.. ahhh.. those high pitch laughter of pure joy~~ to play at night during a full moon, where the moon is round and full .. and every time i catch a newborn i envy the fact that they don't have to worry about the world and about time .. all they do is wait.. wait to be fed and wait to be cleaned ^^.. I'm trying to practice that kind of way.. to wait and to be patient.. not to use too much of my time in one thing only .. we have a lot of time.. but we don't know how to use it .. As a nurse, i learned how to manage my time.. busy? no it's not a problem.. being very busy is what my body wants, especially if we have special and toxic cases.. what i lack is the time not to think about time..confusing ... but ill figure it out... i'll just be patient and i'll just wait.. "Time is not important only moments are"
Newborn Facts
I must tell you i breathe through my nose too
I listen and i can hear what you cheer even when i'm still in my mother's tummy
When my cheek is brushed, i turned towards your touch, and i'll try to latch and suck
I may pass a dark sticky jelly from my butt, but be informed, the smell it is not that bad
I really don't have tears.. Sure, I cry, but i'm deceiving you.
Let me sleep for 20 hours, then you'll see me grow
Be careful with my head. Eventhough it is heavy, I have a soft spot there.
I have more bones than you.. surprise? it's just that they tend to fuse at a certain time
I can see but my brain does not coordinate with me
And please do keep me warm because i am allergic to cold
and i am th ecutest beig youve ever seen^^

intensity 6.9
an earthquake hits iloilo, Philippines this day with an intensity of 6.9. causing big damage and worries to people and to OFW like me .. Why? no electricity = no intrnet connection = no skype = no chit chat.. but it was a big relief to hear from them after an hour of waiting... they said they were ok ~~ What touches me is what my nany said to me: "Day, kung magtigulang na gid ako.. kung gatalk ka bisan kay sin-o, kag ara ako, please include me sa conversation ha, indi mo ako pag ignore day ha.. I said :"Oo nay, and i smiled at her. and eventhough they always argue with each other.. I can still see that they care for one another.. maybe it is their instincts of being husband and wife... and i never tell my folks thank you for loving andunderstanding me.. i just want to show it to both of them.. and i thank God for keeping them safe... Miss you both badly .. and if my brothers sometimes think both of you as a burden, for me your the energy that keeps me going through all the pain and sadness and joy.. Love u nay tay

keys
it is not my day!!! i cannot understand myself nowadays.. maybe i'm just a little bitchy? but sometimes being so nice is quite tiring.. just leave me alone!! this is what i want to shout~~ AAAAHHHHHHH!!!!!!! it is true that you cannot please everybody all the time~~ and they will never appreciate you~~ though all of you ill hate me, i'll not say a word, coz it's already tiring~~ i'll just keep my silence~~ and i'm sorry if i hurt all of your feelings, but please once in a while think before you open your mouth, you're stating that i hurt you, but did it ever come into your mind that you're hurting me too? i rest my case .. right now, i don't want to think.. i just want to rest my mind for a while, i'll give it a little rest~~`
